Well here I go.

This is a bit of a different type of submission.

I’m not submitting this to request a cube for my business.

Instead, I’m requesting a cube grenade for my unborn child. Wait, even better, not just my own child, but ALL children entering the world.

My wife and I recently found out we’re expecting our first child this December.

I’ve had a realization lately that there’s an enormous duty quickly approaching me.

People will tell me that soon my life will change.

“Everything will change!” they say.

“Kiss your nights of sleep goodbye!” they say.

I get that. I’ll be changing diapers galore. I get those duties.

But there’s a bigger realization here. We’re bringing a child into a world where TV and the acquisition of stuff rule the day. We’re bringing a child into a world where the system will attempt to mold and shape him or her into a well-oiled part for their machine.

I want to bring up my child to realize that life her life is available to be owned and controlled by her. I want the child to realize that the crayons she will have at kindergarten never need to be put down. I’m talking about the duty of bringing up a child to understand creativity and self-expression as the keys real keys to a happy and successful life.

I want children everywhere to realize this message. I see a lot of great authors speaking to the parents who’ve staggered off the path. But who’s speaking to the children from the beginning? Who can say it in a way they can understand? Something leads me to believe Hugh could do it with a cube grenade.

I can envision a cube grenade that could share and spread a powerful message that speaks to both parents and children from day one.

Cubes cause disruption, start conversations, and spread ideas. Let’s start early instead of later.
